Responsibilities
- Answer and manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Provide patients with clear and concise information about medical services, office policies, and procedures.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other relevant privacy laws at all times.
- Document call details, patient inquiries, and appointment information accurately in the call center database.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to resolve patient issues and improve service delivery.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as processing patient forms, handling referrals, and managing waitlists.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or call center role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic health record (EHR) software.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
