Medical Receptionist Bilingual
The Medical Receptionist receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors to attend to all callers/visitors promptly. Performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate a switchboard or multi-line phone and maintain long distance call logs.
- Takes and distributes accurate messages.
- Greet visitors and determine the nature of their visit, issuing visitor passes and maintaining visitor logs.
- Alerts appropriate parties of visitor arrivals or directs visitors to appropriate offices, departments, or employees.
- Responds to routine inquiries from internal or external sources regarding location, hours of operation, phone numbers, and email addresses.
- Performs miscellaneous administrative activities such as booking meeting rooms, typing, organizing and distributing mail, and receiving and sending courier packages.
- Limits decisions to defined parameters around work expectations, quality standards, priorities, and timing, working under close guidance within established guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year or more of experience working in a Healthcare setting preferred, but will consider candidates with a strong Customer Service background in Retail Hospitality, Call Centers, etc.
- Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving patient experiences and care.
- Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
Preferred Qualifications
- Value-based care model experience.
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- Experience with EMR Systems (Electronic Medical Records).
Additional Information

This role is considered patient-facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB. Working Hours
Scheduled 40 hours per week Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM. Local travel may be required.
Pay Range
$38,000 - $45,800 per year. This role is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
