Medical Receptionist
About the role
The Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking a Medical Receptionist to support the administrative health care services offered through the clinic, including physical, mental, and health promotion services. This position functions within a fast-paced office environment requiring compassion, confidentiality, and support of all students served through the SHCC.
Responsibilities
- Schedule appointments for health care related student needs
- Operate multi-line telephone line, computer programs, fax, scan and copy machines
- Provide excellent verbal and written communication skills adhering to federal HIPAA guidelines
- Work in a medical team environment, seeking assistance without hesitation
- Complete duties as assigned
Requirements
Duties require customer service experience. Medical office experience preferred and medical billing helpful.
Qualifications
To thrive in this role, a successful applicant should have medical office setting experience and understanding of computer software programs. Ability to listen and respond to the needs of others. Ability to prioritize work load and multi-task.

Benefits
This is a part-time, temporary staff position. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 75, based on education and experience.
Pay
