Medical Receptionist

Description Primary Medical Receptionist duties will include but are not limited to: Greet all patients and visitors to ensure a friendly, welcoming and professional clinic atmosphereCheck In/Check Out patientsAnswering, screening, and directing high volume of phone calls to appropriate parties without errorScheduling appointmentsVerifying insurancesReviewing patient registration forms for accuracy and completenessVerifying insurances and requesting co-paymentsScanning documents into patient’s electronic medical recordAssures all patients private health information is properly shredded after it is scanned. Secondary Medical Receptionist duties will include but are not limited to: Answering, screening, can directing phone calls to appropriate parties without errorScheduling patient appointmentsCalling “no-show” patients and rescheduling them for another appointmentDelivering patient messages to providers, care teams, and patientsTimely responses to patient inquire and timely completion of assigned taskManage faxes, copying and scanning as needed Provides back-up support to the other office departments as necessary Requirements: At least one year experience as a receptionist preferably in a Family Medicine settingKnowledge of medical terminologyElectronic Medical Records proficiency, Cerner preferredThe desire to work in a fast pace environmentThe ability to communicate clearly to patients and fellow staff members both verbally and in writing Educational Requirement: A High School Diploma or GED Qualified candidates should submit their resume for consideration by clicking here.
