About the role
Puget Sound Pain Clinic operates multiple locations across Pierce and King Counties, WA, and is expanding its team at the Tukwila Ambulatory Surgery Center. As a premier pain management provider in the Seattle–Tacoma area, the clinic is committed to exceptional patient care and experience. With over 20 years of service, the team supports patients living with chronic pain. The Medical Receptionist serves as the first and last point of contact for patients, requiring a friendly, professional, organized, and customer-service-oriented approach in a busy medical office.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors promptly, courteously, and professionally
- Schedule new and existing patient appointments
- Check patients in and out and collect co-pays
- Verify and update patient insurance and demographic information
- Answer, screen, and direct telephone calls; take messages and provide information
- Contact patients regarding missed appointments and pre-operative appointments
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records and paperwork
- Scan, file, and process medical documents
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized reception area and lobby
- Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality
- Assist with other administrative and front-office duties as needed

Schedule
Work hours are typically 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday–Thursday. Receptionists do not work weekends, holidays, or evening hours.
Pay
$22.00 – $25.00/hour, depending on experience
