Medical Receptionist

Salem, OR | Part-time (with full-time opportunity) | $20.00 per hour

About the role

Black Stone Pain Medicine is looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Medical Receptionist to join our Salem clinic. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming experience for patients while keeping a busy medical office running smoothly. This position will initially be part-time (2–3 days per week), with the opportunity to transition to full-time around October as our clinic continues to grow. We also offer a 90-day performance review, with the opportunity for a wage increase based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service.
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to patient inquiries.
• Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars.
• Check patients in and out while ensuring accurate documentation.
• Verify insurance information and collect co-pays.
• Maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to keep patient flow running efficiently.
• Complete general administrative and front office duties as needed.

Requirements

• Previous medical reception, medical office, or healthcare customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with EMR systems is a plus.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Positive attitude and a team-first mindset.
