About the Role

A Patient Coordinator acts as the first point of contact for our patients, setting the tone for the patient’s visit through excellent patient care. This role also performs necessary administrative responsibilities to create a smooth check-in/out experience for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
  • Display a professional attitude, greet patients promptly with a smile, and thank them when they leave.
  • Answer phones (both external and internal); assure prompt, courteous service at all times.
  • Practice urgency with patients’ time, as well as doctors’ time and schedule.
  • Manage patient flow in the office.
  • Verify medical and vision insurances.
  • Knowledge of common fees charged for common visits and collect correct payments.
  • Complete daily reconciliations, close the day, and count down the cash drawer.
  • Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned by the manager.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, doctors, and managers.
  • Answer inquiries through phone, email, and in-person requests.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Favorable result on Background Check.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excitement to learn and grow.
  • Reliable transportation that allows travel to multiple work locations with minimal notice.
  • Desire to gain industry knowledge and training.
  • Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing practice goals.
  • Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change.
  • Consistently create a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused.
  • Commitment to work over 40 hours to meet the needs of the business.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

Competitive Base Pay.

Schedule

  • Full Time.
  • Offices are open Monday-Friday 7:15 AM - 4:30 PM. Must have open availability to work any/all shifts within these hours.
  • May need to work a little earlier and/or later as needed.
  • Travel to our office in Glasgow, KY will be required as needed, with mileage reimbursement.
