About the role
ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers is a well-established and fast-growing urgent care company in Maryland, committed to providing high-quality healthcare to our community. We are seeking a friendly, self-motivated, and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our team and help provide a positive experience to our patients in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and register patients, update demographics, verify insurance information, and maintain accurate records in the EMR
- Answer telephone calls, record messages, and accurately redirect calls as needed
- Collect patient payments and manage payment transactions
- Assist with faxes, emails, and office organization
- Maintain a clean and professional environment, including a welcoming waiting area
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Administrative Assistant certification preferred
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical setting
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior customer service skills and a high level of professionalism
- Experience with medical office software is a plus
- Reliable transportation and willingness to comply with the company travel policy
- Ability to work 13+ hour shifts, stand/walk for long periods, and lift 25 lbs.
- Scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays
Pay
Competitive hourly pay: $16.50 - $18, plus opportunities for overtime.
