Medical Receptionist
About the role
As a Receptionist, you'll ensure every patient feels valued from the moment they arrive, functioning as the welcoming face of our healthcare facility. Working onsite, you will report to Angie Barnes, Clinic Administrator. You'll manage front desk operations, support clinical staff, and help maintain a smooth and compassionate environment. This role is ideal for someone who excels in a dynamic setting and enjoys making a positive impact on others.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, in person and over the phone, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage calendars, and collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient flow.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records using EMR and CRM systems.
- Update patient accounts and collect copays when needed.
- Handle incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general information and empathy.
- Keep the reception area clean, stocked, and organized.
- Help with supply orders, inventory management, and courier coordination.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in healthcare customer service background in retail, hospitality, or call centers also considered
- Convey information and maintain a positive tone during calls
- Experience coordinating tasks, resources, and schedules to ensure efficient workflow
- Experience using MS Office tools for reporting, data analysis, and workflow optimization
- Experience improving patient care and experience
- This is a patient-facing role and part of our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. We require TB screening upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with EMR systems

Pay
$38,000 - $45,800 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based upon company and/or individual performance.
