Medical Receptionist
Job Description
Greet patients warmly and deliver excellent customer service
Manage patient scheduling from first visit through discharge
Answer phones promptly and professionally
Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic medical records
Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
Collect, post, and process patient payments
Handle incoming/outgoing correspondence (emails, faxes, etc.)
Maintain a clean, organized reception area
Support clinical staff with daily administrative needs
Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in a medical front office setting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA
- Excellent organization, accuracy, and multitasking ability
- Positive attitude and professional appearance
