Job Summary
The Medical Provider - Physician (which may be a Family Practitioner, Podiatric or Osteopathic Physician) provides professional health care services to patients of ICHS and the community. This includes preventive care, primary diagnosis and treatment, prenatal care, obstetrical care, and inpatient (hospital-based) medical care.
Responsibilities
- Provides comprehensive medical care to patients, including preventive care, primary diagnosis and treatment, prenatal care, obstetrical care, and inpatient (hospital-based) medical care.
- Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop treatment plans.
- Assesses patient needs and develops individualized care plans.
- Performs routine physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as appropriate.
- Collaborates with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- May include OB responsibilities, which may vary based on the specific role and facility.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited medical school and completed a US residency accredited program.
- Two (2) years community health center primary care experience.
- Active license to practice medicine in Washington State including full prescriptive authority.
- Board-certified in a Primary Care Specialty or be preparing for certification within a year of employment.
- Bilingual preferred – Fluent in an API language or Spanish preferred.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
- Residency in a relevant specialty.
- Washington State medical license.
- Full prescriptive authority.
- Board certification in a Primary Care Specialty or preparation for certification within a year of employment.
- Bilingual proficiency in an API language or Spanish.
