About the role

Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for a medical practice.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
  • Ensures accuracy of patient's information, including demographics and insurance.
  • Answers phones, routes calls, takes messages, and assures accurate communication both verbally and via the EMR system.
  • Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
  • Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols.
  • Monitors applications and manages worklists as applicable.
  • Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
  • Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
  • Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
  • Maintains and models the organization’s values.
  • Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Six months of relevant experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience preferred.
  • Strong data entry and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to travel between practices as needed.

Pay

Salary range: $18.13 - $34.50 hourly.

Schedule

7:45 AM - 5:45 PM, variable 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday.
