About the role
Penn State Health is seeking a Clinical Therapeutic Medical Physicist to join their expanding radiation oncology team. The position supports radiation therapy physics services at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a full spectrum of advanced treatment techniques including IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS, and both LDR and HDR brachytherapy.
- Support patient safety and treatment accuracy through expertise in advanced technology.
- Collaborate on research and educational initiatives to drive innovation and fulfill the academic mission.
Requirements
- Master's degree in physics or equivalent knowledge required.
- Eligibility for ABR/ABMP certification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics.
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in radiation oncology physics.
Qualifications
- Preferred but not required: MS or PhD in Medical Physics, Physics, Engineering, or related basic science.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Board certification (ABR/ABMP) in Therapeutic Radiological Physics.
- Experience with Varian equipment and software.
- Experience with Elekta Gamma Knife systems.
- Brachytherapy experience.
- Familiarity with MIM Maestro.
Skills
- Expertise in advanced radiation therapy techniques.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of relevant software and equipment.

Schedule
Variably scheduled hours between 7:00a and 5:00p, typically day shifts.
