Responsibilities
- Calibration of dose meters and radiation equipment
- Beam data acquisition for treatment planning
- Ensures compliance with radiation safety regulations
- Supports and implements patient safety practices
- Provides physics consultation to radiation oncology personnel
- Performs individual treatment planning, dosimetry calculations, and treatment planning reviews
- Collaborates with information services department for software management
- Assists in planning and shielding calculations for new facilities
- Interprets and prepares documentation for regulatory changes
- Assists with the selection and acquisition of sources for permanent implant techniques
- Participates in clinical education, training, and competency evaluations
Qualifications
- M.S. or PhD in Medical Physics or a closely related field, required
- Minimum of 3+ years clinical experience in addition to a CAMPEP-accredited residency
- Certification in Radiation Oncology Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or other alternative certifying body, preferred
- Experience with High Dose Rate (HDR) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) programs preferred
- Computer system administration experience with patient record and verify database applications desirable

Pay
The Base Pay Range For This Position Is $116,990 - $160,864. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
