Responsibilities

• Calibration of dose meters and radiation equipment
• Beam data acquisition for treatment planning
• Ensures compliance with radiation safety regulations
• Supports and implements patient safety practices
• Provides physics consultation to radiation oncology personnel
• Performs individual treatment planning, dosimetry calculations, and treatment planning reviews
• Collaborates with information services department for software management
• Assists in planning and shielding calculations for new facilities
• Interprets and prepares documentation for regulatory changes
• Assists with the selection and acquisition of sources for permanent implant techniques
• Participates in clinical education, training, and competency evaluations

Qualifications

• M.S. or PhD in Medical Physics or a closely related field, required
• Minimum of 3+ years clinical experience in addition to a CAMPEP-accredited residency
• Certification in Radiation Oncology Physics by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or other alternative certifying body, preferred
• Experience with High Dose Rate (HDR) and Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) programs preferred
• Computer system administration experience with patient record and verify database applications desirable

Pay

The Base Pay Range For This Position Is $116,990 - $160,864. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
