Medical/Oncology - Clinical Nurse (Nights)

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and participation in safety, quality, and regulatory activities. Nurses develop and document individualized care plans, collaborate with an interprofessional team, and utilize critical nursing skills to address physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers.

Responsibilities

• Promoting healing environments and educating patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.
• Ensuring communication of care plans across the continuum and assessing patient preferences and barriers.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• RN licensure required; no prior experience necessary, but 2 years of experience is preferred.
• This is a safety-sensitive role requiring alertness and safe work practices.

Schedule

The role may involve night shifts, 3-12 hour shifts, and rotating weekends and holidays with self-scheduling options.
