About the Role

Full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) position available Monday through Friday, primarily daytime hours. This is an amazing opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary comprehensive breast oncology team providing care to patients at the Pluta Cancer Center.

The APP role involves triaging phone calls, urgent add-on clinic visits, infusion support, and scheduled ambulatory clinics. The need for excellent communication skills with proven ability in exercising independent judgment and initiative as an advanced practice provider is required. Individuals must be flexible with the growing needs of the practice and dependable. Being self-directed, having strong assessment and communication skills, and the ability to multi-task are important for success in this role.

Strongly prefer at least 3-5 years of experience as an advanced practice provider, ideally within hematology/oncology.

Responsibilities

• Triage phone calls and manage urgent add-on clinic visits
• Provide infusion support
• Conduct scheduled ambulatory clinics
• Exercise independent judgment and initiative as an advanced practice provider
• Participate in the education of learners (students and new employees) using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing, and skill training

Requirements

Nurse Practitioner

• Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner
• Active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing
• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing
• Current national certification as a Nurse Practitioner

Physician Assistant

• Completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program
• Active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing
• Current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

Pay

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job: $98,508.00 - $132,995.00. Individual annual salaries will be set within this range and determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
