About the role
BayCare is seeking a Medical Office Representative to provide outstanding customer service in our community. This position is located at Mease Countryside Professional Center South and operates on a full-time, non-exempt basis with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Supports the physician's office healthcare team
- Greets and signs in patients
- Obtains patient information
- Schedules patient appointments
- Assists with patient inquiries
- May arrange for other procedures, laboratory work, and consultations with referral doctors
- Collects and posts payments
- Assists patients with billing questions
- Ensures completeness of encounter form prior to patient checkout
- Sorts and distributes mail
- Copies medical records
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of healthcare experience or 6 months of customer service experience
Medical front desk experience is highly preferred.
