About the Role
Assists physicians with examinations and procedures to meet patients' medical needs while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism. Coordinates patient flow, manages phone calls, lab work, and nurse visits to support quality care and customer service. Provides nursing care aligned with physician prescriptions, licensure requirements, and organizational policies.
Responsibilities
- Maintain exam room readiness and cleanliness.
- Obtain and record vital signs and patient history.
- Assist physicians with medical procedures and examinations.
- Schedule follow-up appointments and tests.
- Document patient information accurately in medical records.
- Respond to patient and provider communications promptly.
- Educate patients on tests, procedures, and care plans.
- Monitor and restock medical supplies as needed.
- Administer injections, tests, and medications as delegated by physicians.
- Ensure compliance with licensure requirements and organizational policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
Requirements
- Current Nebraska LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license.
- Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
