About the role

You'll manage front office operations efficiently, ensuring a seamless experience for patients, staff, and referral sources. Key responsibilities include greeting and assisting patients, verifying and updating patient information, handling financial transactions, scheduling appointments, and supporting patients.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients upon arrival
  • Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details
  • Collect patient payments, including deductibles, copays, and co-insurance
  • Cook up follow-up appointments, including cast and measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans
  • Serve as a liaison for clinic services
  • Collaborate with the RCM team to obtain necessary patient information
  • Ensure accurate and complete electronic health records for all patients

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of customer service, administrative, or related experience
  • Experience in a receptionist position or medical front office procedures preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting Hanger’s standards
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Able to type 30 words per minute with accuracy
  • Ability to work with handicapped individuals
  • Understanding of Alpha filing system
  • Knowledge of medical reimbursement and terminology
  • Proficiency in using computers and office equipment
