Oneida Health is looking for a full-time Medical Office Assistant-Float for its external medical practices. This position is designed to be both clinical and administrative and reports to the Practice Manager.
Schedule
Hours are 8am - 4:30pm. You would report 3 days to the Podiatry office and float within our network for the remaining 2 days.

Responsibilities
- Using a customer service attitude for all patient interactions in person and on the telephone.
- Being a keen observer while collecting and recording data about the patient.
- Addressing the needs of patients, visitors, co-workers, and the practice in a positive and timely manner.
- Demonstrating strong computer skills.
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients including infection prevention techniques according to hospital standards.
- Assisting providers with procedures and examinations.
- Performing treatments and procedures as directed.
- Reassuring patients about wait times and delays, while giving priority to acutely ill patients.
- Maintaining medical records accurately.
- Checking equipment and stocking supplies as needed.
- Placing supply and pharmacy orders.
- Facilitating and executing physician orders as directed.
- Coordinating and scheduling referrals and surgeries.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
- Medical Office: 1 year (Preferred)
- Computer Skills: 1 year (Required)
