Medical Office Assistant Cardiology Clinic
About the role
Medical Office Assistants perform clinical and administrative duties consistent with Medical Assistant program education, training and experience. They work in both the clinical and front office functions of the practice, providing clerical support and assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care support activities. Duties are performed in accordance with the specific needs of the practice.
Pay
Expected pay for this position is $18.85 - $21.21/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
Schedule
This is an hourly position.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of six months’ experience with computers, Microsoft Office, and email
- Minimum of six months’ health care facility clinical experience OR clinical education (including evidence of current enrollment or completion of OSF Medical Group Prime Path Bridge Program) OR successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Some knowledge of medical terminology
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a medical assistant program or equivalent
- Minimum of six months’ experience as a medical office assistant (MOA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or equivalent
- Minimum of six months’ experience with an electronic health record
