Schedule
Full time, days. Occasional travel may be required to other practices in the Finger Lakes region (within a 25-minute radius of the hospital).
Pay
Pay range: $19.64 - $24.50 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities
- Participate in the multi-disciplinary process of providing care and service to patients and their families through selected clinical tasks, including:
- Supplies inventory, stocking, and ordering
- Rooming patients and taking vitals
- Performing phlebotomy and EKGs
- Specimen collection
- Medical record documentation and chart preparations
- Point of care testing (POCT)
- Assisting providers with exams and minor surgical procedures
- Actively support physicians and nurses and enthusiastically participate in departmental meetings.
- Identify ways to improve processes and service to patients.
- Manage a demanding workload with accuracy while representing the office professionally.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, staff, physicians, management, vendors, and the public.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, including patient, staff, and health system data.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop collaborative working relationships with patients, families, coworkers, and medical staff.
- Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in a primary or specialty care office setting.
- Apply knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
- Exhibit time management, keyboarding, and multi-tasking skills to maintain efficient business operations.
- Work independently to complete job assignments while actively participating in team-based work and meetings.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital, state, federal, and regulatory requirements.
- Remain current with certification requirements if certified.
- Demonstrate attention to detail to avoid mistakes.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- BLS certification required.
- Graduate of an approved program for certification of Medical Office Assistants preferred.
- Phlebotomy skills preferred or willingness to attain once employed.
- Medical Office Assistant (MOA) experience preferred.
- EMR (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.
- CMOA (Certified Medical Office Assistant) certification preferred.
