As a Medical Director, Clinical Research & Development at ICON, you will provide medical leadership and strategic direction to clinical development programs. We are looking for a board certified professional with experience in monitoring Obesity/GLP-1 studies. What You Will Do You will lead medical affairs delivery across your portfolio, setting standards and developing your team. Key Responsibilities Include Providing medical and scientific oversight for clinical trials, ensuring that study protocols are scientifically sound and aligned with regulatory requirements.Collaborating with clinical operations, regulatory, and safety teams to drive the successful execution of clinical development programs.Developing and reviewing clinical study protocols, investigator brochures, and other key study documents.Interpreting clinical trial data and providing medical insights to inform decision-making and guide clinical development strategies.Building relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, and external stakeholders to support clinical development initiatives. Your Profile You will bring significant medical affairs experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams and delivering results. Required Qualifications And Experience Medical degree (MD) or equivalent qualification.Extensive experience in clinical research and development, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.Strong understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, and GCP guidelines.Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on interpreting clinical data and driving evidence-based decisions.Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, global teams.Willingness to travel as required (approximately 10%) What ICON Can Offer You Our success depends on the quality of our people.
