Medical Massage Therapist

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Massage Therapist who is passionate about helping patients heal, recover, and optimize their health through therapeutic bodywork. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working alongside physicians in a collaborative, high-end clinical environment and wants to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.
This role may be structured as either an Independent Contractor (1099) or Part-Time Employee (W-2). The employment structure will be determined based on practice growth, scheduling needs, and company demand.
Responsibilities
- Perform individualized therapeutic massage treatments based on each patient’s goals and medical history.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Assist patients with pain management, injury recovery, mobility improvement, and overall wellness.
- Provide education on stretching, recovery, hydration, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate treatment documentation.
- Deliver an exceptional concierge patient experience.
- Maintain treatment rooms and equipment according to clinical standards.
- Build long-term relationships with patients through exceptional care and professionalism.
Requirements
- Current New Jersey Massage Therapy License
- Professional liability insurance if working as an independent contractor
- CPR certification
- Minimum of three years of professional massage experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, compassionate, and patient-centered approach
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

- Myofascial release
- Lymphatic drainage
- Sports massage
- Stretch therapy
- Trigger point therapy
- Prenatal massage preferred
- Post-operative recovery massage preferred
- Experience working alongside physicians, physical therapists, chiropractors, or medical practices is a plus
Schedule
Flexible scheduling is available. We are initially seeking coverage approximately three days per week, with the opportunity for additional hours as the practice continues to grow. Some evening or weekend availability is preferred.

Pay
$118.00 - $162.00 per hour
