Akua Behavioral Health is California’s leading mental health and substance abuse treatment center. Responsibilities
- Deliver Incidental Medical Services (IMS) from end-to-end, including provider coordination, ordering, storage, observation, and destruction.
- Manage the program’s medical documentation in the EMR, including physician notes, medication orders, and medication logs, either directly or through clinical staff.
- Regularly audit medical documentation in the EMR to ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards.
- Lead compliance activities as outlined in company policies and procedures, such as Infection Control (IC).
- Serve as the secondary administrative authority for the day-to-day operations of the facility, supporting the Program Manager.
- Train Clinical Technicians and program staff on incidental medical services and relevant documentation.
Requirements
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) (required).
- High school diploma or GED (required); bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent vocational schooling in a relevant field (e.g., nursing school).
- 1+ year(s) of nursing experience (required); 1+ year(s) of behavioral healthcare experience (preferred).
- Current Health Screen/Physical (required).
- TB Test Clearance (required).
