roughly 40-50 attorneys in Miami office, around 80 in total across all offices - multiple offices across south Florida
Career Path & Advancement
Clear path to partnership: Each May, associates are invited to apply for Partner, and partners can apply for Equity Partner. The Management Committee reviews all partnership applications.
For highly senior lateral hires, partnership can be pre-negotiated or candidates can apply in the next annual cycle.
Responsibilities
Provide legal analysis and advice.
Prepare and file legal pleadings and documents.
Perform legal research.
Prepare for and conduct pre-trial discovery.
Prepare for and conduct administrative and judicial hearings.
Civil jury trials and post-trial activities.
Requirements
Must be admitted in Florida.
Qualifications
Competitive Salary 100-150k for up to 5th years 150-200k for 5-10th years
Bonuses & Compensation Structure: Objective, formula-based bonus system (not discretionary). Calculated using fees collected and annual salary. 10% of first $100K collected, 15% of the second $100, 20% of the next $100K+
Origination bonus: 10% of revenue from originated cases (regardless of involvement).
Quarterly associate bonus: $1,500 per quarter ($6K annually) for staying on track with billables.
