About the Role
Support military healthcare by managing library resources, conducting expert literature searches, and integrating evidence-based practice into clinical workflows. Provide leadership to a team of library professionals, ensuring seamless operations in a 24/7 medical environment. Promote diversity, enforce federal policies, and foster a professional work environment. Act as the primary ambassador for library services, marketing resources and conducting tailored training for medical staff and trainees. Continuously develop and curate high-impact collections aligned with medical missions. Manage budgets, forecast funding needs, and negotiate vendor contracts. Drive innovation by developing informatics strategies and digital solutions, sharing best practices across the enterprise.
Qualifications
Must be a US citizen with either a completed Bachelor's degree plus graduate study in Library Science or five years of relevant library experience demonstrating mastery of library principles. Possess at least one year of specialized experience supporting clinical or academic medical services, leading staff, delivering educational presentations, and managing complex database searches.
