About the role
Performs and reports laboratory procedures to ensure accurate patient outcomes, utilizing laboratory skills and adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Receives, identifies, organizes, and prioritizes specimens for timely testing.
- Executes requested laboratory tests and reports results.
- Conducts quality control, proficiency testing, routine maintenance, and inventory management.
- Ensures positive patient identification to prevent errors.
- Evaluates data, draws conclusions, and maintains compliance with regulations.
- Completes assigned goals and performs duties as needed, including overtime and callbacks.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent military training.
- Preferred clinical laboratory experience.
- Basic computer literacy.
- National certification in accordance with federal/state regulations, obtained within six months of hire.
