Medical Laboratory Technician PRN

About the Role

A Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) PRN is sought to join a laboratory team dedicated to teamwork, quality, and safety in patient care. The role involves performing laboratory procedures across various specialties such as blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests using established protocols with minimal supervision.
• Maintain equipment, records, and quality assurance activities.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot biological specimens and test results, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Assist in evaluating new techniques, writing technical procedures, and supporting staff and students.
• Answer inquiries related to test methodology and results.
• Participate in ongoing education and process improvements.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent, or qualification under CLIA guidelines.
• Certification as MLT (ASCP) or similar.
• At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience preferred.
