Medical Laboratory Technician or Technologist (MLT/MT/MLS)

Requirements

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection following established procedures.
• Process, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
• Conduct routine and moderate complexity laboratory testing.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Review and verify test results for accuracy and quality.
• Perform quality control procedures and document results according to laboratory standards.
• Avoid non-compliance with CLIA and laboratory safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and laboratory documentation.
• Communicate effectively with providers, nursing staff, and patients regarding specimen collection and testing requirements.
• Assist with inventory management and laboratory supply maintenance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS/MT).
• Current certification as MLT (ASCP), MLS/ASCP, MT, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.
• Experience performing phlebotomy on patients.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
