Key Responsibilities
- Secure new clinical sites and contractual agreements;
- Coordinate with clinical staff to establish regular placement sites for students.
- Arrange student orientations at each clinical education site;
- Cookordinate and revise the clinical education plan.
- Visit clinical sites regularly to review and evaluate student clinical performance and progress;
- Cookordinate with site instructors to ensure effective clinical education.
- Maintain student grades per established policies;
- Prepare final grades at the end of each semester to update student records and transcripts.
- Prepare lesson plans and instruct students in MLT techniques;
- Perform the duties of an MLT instructor as needed.
- Recommend changes to the Program Director and may assist with student applicant admissions.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution recognized by the USDE.
- Must hold a credential from a nationally recognized and accredited agency as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Technologist.
- Minimum 3 years of documented practical experience as a Medical Laboratory Technician or Technologist.
- Current license, certification, or other designation as required by local, state, or federal laws to work in the field.
- 1 year of instructor experience in a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in MLT content areas.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other computer applications.
