About the role
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technician to perform moderate- and high-complexity laboratory testing in a busy lab environment.
Responsibilities
- Collecting and processing specimens
- Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment
- Performing quality control and participating in quality assurance activities
- Recognizing abnormal or critical values and following notification protocols
- Testing across various areas such as phlebotomy, urinalysis, chemistry, hematology, coagulation, blood bank/transfusion services, and molecular testing
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited institution or a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS/CLS), Biology, Chemistry, or related field
- Minimum of one year of laboratory experience
- Qualification to work in a high‑complexity laboratory
- Preferred certifications include ASCP or AMT
Schedule
- Shared on‑call duties
- May require independent work during off‑shifts
- Primarily days with some evenings and every third weekend on call
