Responsibilities

• Performing and reporting analyses of multiple specimen sources while ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
• Following established procedures to obtain accurate results and managing multiple work processes efficiently.
• Handling specimens properly, confirming identification, and using appropriate accessioning techniques.
• Recognizing discrepancies, troubleshooting, performing instrument maintenance, quality control, and replenishing supplies.
• Utilizing various computer applications, documenting issues, and assisting in training new employees.
• Participating in educational activities and maintaining competency through exams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in laboratory science and certification or eligibility as an MLT.
• Experience in military medical laboratories and related specialties is welcomed.
