Medical Laboratory Technician

Role Overview This position involves utilizing laboratory skills to perform and report clearly defined procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The role includes specimen handling, performing tests, quality control, maintenance, and adhering to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Prioritize and organize specimens for accurate test processing.Perform and report laboratory procedures.Conduct quality control, proficiency testing, and routine instrument maintenance.Verify patient identification to minimize errors and adverse outcomes.Analyze results and draw appropriate conclusions.Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.Achieve assigned goals and perform additional duties as needed. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or military medical laboratory training with relevant certification.Preferred: Clinical laboratory experience.Basic computer literacy required; advanced skills preferred.National certification per federal/state regulations within six months of hire.
