Medical Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Medical Laboratory Technician position offers a $10,000 sign-on/retention bonus for qualified candidates with relevant experience. Positions are available at both the Beaver and Sewickley campus locations within the CHEMISTRY, HEMATLOGY & BLOOD BANK department.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process, analyze and report laboratory results in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Comprehend and follow procedural guidelines in performance of laboratory tests including quality control monitoring, computer applications, instrumentation troubleshooting, and specimen collection and processing requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician Program or related field.
• OR already functioning as a Medical Laboratory Technician within HVHS (Grandfathered) as of June 2004.
• Prior MLT (ASCP) certification preferred.
