Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Summary Performs and reports clearly defined laboratory procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes using laboratory skills. Responsible for assigned shifts, including overtime and callbacks. Performs additional duties as assigned. Responsibilities Receives, identifies, organizes, and prioritizes specimens for accurate and timely testing.Conducts and reports laboratory procedures.Performs quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance, inventory control, and documentation.Ensures positive patient identification to minimize errors and adverse outcomes.Evaluates data, draws conclusions, and assesses results.Adheres to regulatory standards, maintains safe laboratory practices, and demonstrates competency.Completes assigned goals efficiently. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or military medical laboratory training with relevant certification.Preferred clinical laboratory experience.Basic computer literacy required; advanced skills preferred.National certification compliant with federal and state regulations, with full certification obtained within six months of hire.
