Medical Laboratory Technician
About the role
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) position is available at Avita Health System's Ontario, Galion, or Bucyrus location. This role requires a Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related science field, along with a current BLS certificate. The successful candidate will be supervised by the Laboratory Manager or designee and will perform laboratory services to meet patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Provides laboratory services in accordance with accepted standards and practices.
- Performs laboratory procedures to provide information for diagnosing and monitoring medical treatment.
- Maintains all chemistry analyzers and provides training to others on proper procedure.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related science field; current BLS certificate.
- Preferred: Certified as Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS); ASCP, AMT(HHS).
- Three years of previous clinical laboratory experience.
