Medical Laboratory Technician

Role Overview This position involves utilizing laboratory skills to perform and report clearly defined procedures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. The role includes managing specimen receipt, identification, and prioritization for accurate test processing, performing laboratory tests, quality control, proficiency testing, instrument maintenance, and inventory management. Key Responsibilities include evaluating positive patient identification to minimize errors, drawing appropriate conclusions from test results, adhering to regulatory and safety standards, and completing assigned goals. Qualifications & Skills required are an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or military medical laboratory training, basic computer literacy, and national certification aligned with federal/state regulations (full certification within six months). Preferred qualifications include clinical laboratory experience. The role may require overtime and call-backs, with responsibilities extending to other duties as assigned.
