Responsibilities
- Demonstrates excellent customer service through attitude and actions, consistent with the organization's standards.
- Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood or urine, using microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases.
- Affixes to training of students and new Team Members.
- Maintains required records, reports, and statistics as needed.
- Performs specimen processing and technical functions as assigned.
- Monitors the use of resources and all lab supplies.
- Utilizes work time appropriately.
- Readily looks for additional tasks during periods of reduced workload.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technical program or Associates Degree.
- Must be able to successfully pass ASCP Certification test within 6 months of hire or equivalent certification.
- Failure to pass will result in termination of employment.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and within a team environment.
