Responsibilities
- Perform and report various analyses from multiple specimen sources, serving as a technical expert.
- Troubleshoot instrument issues, make operational decisions, and assist in evaluating new products and methods.
- Implement new testing procedures, review protocols, and interpret specialized tests.
- Ensure quality control, proficiency testing, and maintenance are completed and reviewed in collaboration with the Analytical Specialist.
- Assist in inventory management, training staff, and participating in quality improvement committees.
- Maintain competency through ongoing education and pass required competency exams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program or relevant certification.
- Minimum of four years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- Ability to troubleshoot, interpret complex tests, and work collaboratively within a team.
