What you will do

• Receives specimens, clarifies requests, checks specimen integrity/labeling.
• Organizes, prepares and processes specimens.
• Works independently in assigned departments with the laboratory.
• Performs singular tests, evaluates results, solves problems, documents results and communicates reports as needed.
• Assists in training and orientation of new employees and students.
• Performs specimen collection duties.

Qualifications

• MLS (ASCP) certification or MLT (ASCP) certification
• Associates/Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology
• National Licensure as a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician - ASCP, AMT
