Medical Laboratory Scientist - Microbiology Lab

Performs assays accurately and timely on patient samples using a variety of automated and manual testing procedures to aid physician in patient diagnosis and treatment. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related discipline.
• Upon hire, certification as one of the following:
  • National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • National Medical Technologist – American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • National Medical Technologist – American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • National Technologist in Microbiology – American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
  • National Medical Laboratory Scientist – American Medical Technologist (AMT)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $46.80 - $71.32 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
