Role Overview
Performs clinical laboratory tests, procedures, and related duties within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring accurate and timely lab results.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily laboratory operations including instrument maintenance, supply inventory, quality control, and calibration.
- Perform basic to complex testing following established protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
- Communicate laboratory data effectively to healthcare providers and departments.
- Analyze and interpret test results, utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment, and initiate corrective actions when needed.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and provide instructions on specimen collection and handling.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate's or Technical Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology, or certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through AMT or ASCP within one year.
- Preferred 1-3 years of related experience or training.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and technical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adhere to safety and compliance standards.
