MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST - LAB
Aspirus Howard Young Medical Center, Woodruff, WI – Full-Time or .9 FTE (72 hours every pay period).
About the role
The Medical Laboratory Scientist performs chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic procedures in the Central Clinical Laboratory that require the exercise of independent judgment and interpretation. All individuals in this job classification meet the qualifications necessary to perform high-complexity testing as defined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA 88).
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in laboratory science.
- Previous applicable experience beneficial.
- Active Medical Technology (MT-ASCP), Medical Lab Technician (MLT-ASCP), or CLS-NCA certification, or attainment within 6 months of hire.
