MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST - LAB

About the role

The Medical Laboratory Scientist at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital will perform a variety of chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic procedures in the Central Clinical Laboratory. This role requires the exercise of independent judgment and interpretation, meeting the qualifications necessary to perform high complexity testing as defined by CLIA 88.

Responsibilities

• Performs chemical, bacteriological, serological, hematological, and microscopic procedures in the Central Clinical Laboratory.
• Exercises independent judgment and interpretation in performing complex laboratory tests.
• Ensures compliance with laboratory standards and practices.

Requirements

• Completion of a bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• Active Medical Technology (MT-ASCP), Medical Laboratory Science certification (MLS-ASCP), or equivalent certification within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification.

Pay

• .9 FTE/72 hours every two weeks working NIGHT shifts; 7 shifts on/7 shifts off, 12-hour shifts.
