Role Overview: Performs clinical laboratory testing under supervision, ensuring accuracy and quality assurance. Maintains equipment, records, and adheres to established protocols while exercising independent judgment. May supervise and train laboratory staff. Key Responsibilities Maintains acceptable accuracy in patient testing, quality assurance, proficiency, and competency assessments.Uses clinical knowledge to analyze, interpret, and report laboratory data accurately and timely.Documents investigations, manages quality control, and reports lab data in compliance with standards.Supports performance improvement initiatives, inspection readiness, and cost-efficient practices.Maintains current knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance; participates in meetings and educational activities.Ensures proper specimen identification, error tracking, and effective communication within the team. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Science, or related field; master’s preferred.Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required upon hire.Minimum one year of laboratory experience preferred.Proficiency in computer/data entry, MS Office, and familiarity with Epic and 3M systems is advantageous.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare setting. Additional Duties: Supports inspection readiness, participates in committees, and adheres to safety standards and organizational policies.
