About the role

The Medical Laboratory Scientist will perform and report a wide range of analytical procedures on patient specimens, ensuring accurate and timely results vital for patient diagnosis and treatment. Key responsibilities include executing tests, maintaining equipment, interpreting results, and providing patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Execute complex laboratory tests on patient specimens
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Interpret test results and notify appropriate caregivers of critical values
  • Perform proficiency testing and maintain quality control records
  • Evaluate and validate new procedures and equipment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a biological or chemical science
  • Experience in relevant field (e.g., International Medical Laboratory Scientist, Blood Banking, Chemistry - ASCP, Clinical Laboratory Scientist)
