Medical Laboratory Scientist
This position is full-time with variable shifts of 6 hours each. About the role
The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for specimen processing, test performance, test result reporting, and clerical and patient care support services. The CLS provides service in one or more sections of the laboratory with a high level of accuracy, precision, and timeliness and ensures compliance with departmental and regulatory agency standards. Service is provided to patients of all age groups: premature infants, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young, middle, and older adults.
Non-technical duties include taking supply inventories, stocking supplies, cleaning and maintaining work area, equipment, and instrumentation. The CLS provides service in a safe and professional manner and works within the established policies and procedures of the Laboratory and the Organization.
Responsibilities
- Specimen processing, test performance, and test result reporting
- Clerical and patient care support services
- Service in one or more laboratory sections with accuracy, precision, and timeliness
- Ensure compliance with departmental and regulatory agency standards
- Take supply inventories, stock supplies, clean and maintain work area, equipment, and instrumentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License (upon hire)
- 1 year of experience in clinical laboratory in area of responsibility
- Experience must meet CLIA requirements for testing personnel, moderate to high complexity tests

Pay
The pay range for this position is $51.76 - $80.34 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
