Key Responsibilities

• MATCH computer orders with specimen labels, sort specimens, and check deliveries.
• Maintain quality results by running standards and controls.
• Verify equipment functionality with routine maintenance.
• Auxiliary in staff training as a technical resource.
• Alert supervisory personnel of any abnormal patient conditions.
• Conduct tests to identify the presence or number of drugs in patient samples.
• Operate chemistry equipment to provide diagnostic test results.
• Perform blood typing, antibody screening, and compatibility testing.
• Contribute to a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
