About the role
The Medical Laboratory Scientist will perform and report a wide range of analytical procedures on patient specimens, ensuring accurate and timely results vital for patient diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities include executing tests, maintaining equipment, interpreting results, and providing patient care.
Responsibilities
- Execute a variety of analytical procedures across various lab disciplines
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshoot issues, and contact vendors for repairs
- Perform calibration and quality control procedures, and document results
- Participate in proficiency testing and review results with laboratory leaders
- Assist in validating new procedures and equipment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a biological or chemical science
- International Medical Laboratory Scientist preferred
- Blood Banking, Chemistry - ASCP, Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Technologist in Molecular Biology, Medical Laboratory Scientist - Med Technologist, Medical Technologist AAB, Technologist in Microbiology, Medical Technologist AMT, Specialist in Hematology, Specialist in Microbiobiology, Med Technologist - ASCP, Histotechnologist preferred
